Adam Toms once had an opening line on his bio that read ‘Is he Country, Rock, Pop, Blues or all of the above? Let’s leave that for you to decide’.

Well a few years later and Tomsy declares he is defiantly more ‘country rock’ than his earlier years but he still doesn’t mind mixing it up here and there.

He grew up in Shepparton, Victoria, where he spent his teen years playing in cover bands and at solo acoustic gigs - this honed his skills as a guitar player and vocalist but left him with a desire to write and sing his own material and make a move to Melbourne.

Not long after making the move he teamed up with Aria award winning producer / engineer Doug Roberts - best known for his work with artists such as The Badloves, Chocolate Starfish & Boom Crash Opera, Doug introduced Adam to Peter Farnan (ex Boom Crash Opera) which proved to be a successful collaboration. The pair wrote and recorded many songs together spreading across many genres.

However for Adam something was missing. Many people always suggested that his music leant in a more 'country rock/pop' vibe.

Over the Easter of 2008 Adam had what he calls a 'Light bulb moment’ and threw himself deeper into that genre. With the direction finally decided Adam teamed up with Doug Roberts again and a great mix of muso's to record his first country rock project. Out of all the tracks recorded, 4 were chosen for his EP with the lead single, '6 Months Of Lovin You' getting great exposure in the Australian market. His follow up single, 'Sugar Lips' released late 2009 also received fantastic radio support and great rotation with the film clip.

In March 2010 Adam recorded more material with Golden Guitar producer of the year Matt Fell at his Sydney studios for his latest full length album. The first single 'Too Crazy For Love was released to Radio and CMC late 2010 and had a huge amount of radio play across the nation as well as the film clip charting on CMC, played on RAGE as well as Southern Cross 10 TV program 'Landed Music'.

The follow up singles 'Fighting For' (released to radio in May) and ‘Break Another Man’ in September received lots of attention across the nation. His latest single ‘Music Will Never Rest’ shows a softer side to Adam and is currently spinning on radio across the country and beyond.

In June 2011 Adam and his family (Wife, two boys - 2.5yro and a newborn!) embarked on a 9 month tour around Australia. To add to the madness the experience is being filmed for a reality TV type program. The show will include all the ups and downs of an up and coming singer/songwriter to the highs and lows of an adventure with a young family.
